The following is the program schedule of events for the Final Four Analytics challenge. Be sure to stick around throughout the day. There are some fun giveaways and surprise appearances that will truly make it a memorable event.
December 1st 2025 - Registration Open 12:00AM
Registration opens for all participating schools.
January 30th 2026 - Student Registration Close 11:59pm
All student teams must be formed by 11:59pm January 30th 2026. Student teams cannot be modified after registration closes.
February 2nd 2026 - Competition Tip-Off
The Analytics Challenge will officially launch with a tip-off event at the NCAA Hall of Champions in downtown Indianapolis, Indiana. The event will culminate with the presentation of the case and data set. All students are encouraged to attend this exciting start to the competition in person and virtual options are available space is limited. Registration closes 1/30 at 11:59pm.
February 2nd - March 15th - Round 1
In the first round of the Analytics Challenge, teams develop predictive models based on the case introduced at the competition’s tip-off. At the conclusion of this round, top undergraduate and graduate teams (one per division) will be selected to represent their respective schools in the semi-final stage.
February 6th 2pm - Predictive Analytics 101
Join Professor Jason Davidson from Butler University's Lacy School of Business for a 90-minute tutorial on supervised learning with SKLearn in Google Colab. This session is focused for students with little to no experience looking to get a jump start in the competition.
February 20th 2pm est - Tableau Desktop Training
Join us for a free training from Tableau solutions engineer and data viz all star Rain Ortega.
March 2nd 2pm est - Tableau Desktop Training Session 2
Join us for a free training from Tableau solutions engineer and data viz all star Rain Ortega.
March 16th - March 20th - Round 2 Semi Finals
In the semi final round of the Analytics Challenge, teams will be challenged to create a business report and corresponding video explaining their solution and methodology to the case.
Butler University Esports - Oracle Data Challenge
Join us at Butler University’s state‑of‑the‑art Esports Park for the Oracle Data Challenge. This inclusive, one‑day event brought to you by Oracle is designed for students with little to no prior experience and features hands‑on training with the Oracle AI Data Platform. Participants will also take on an NCAA‑themed visualization challenge, with the opportunity to earn exciting prize packs—including Oracle swag, certification vouchers, and scholarship awards


March 20th 2pm - Tableau Desktop Training Session 3
Join us for a free training on Tableau desktop from Chase Bank Senior Product manager and data viz all star Jeffrey Ater.
April 6th - Finals
The final championship competition will take place in person at the Indiana Convention Center. The finalist of each division will present.
